I was one of the folks who went to school with Maurice. Luckier still, back a long time ago, his parents and mine knew each other well - I had the joy of knowing the family even before we began our school days as we lived just one street away. My mum always liked Maurice and I recall that he could never tell even one little white lie without smiling and giving the game away. At school, he was as talented and sporty as others have already attested. But more than that, he was funny and often mischievous. He always looked out for me and is part of many happy memories that I had from that time. Just seeing him in a picture or hearing his name still makes me smile so he will never be forgotten and forever very fondly remembered. Rodney Brown
